Cleaning corners of a square skillet in an E-tank

I found a smoking deal on an unmarked Wagner square skillet. It was caked with about a 16th of an inch of unwashed cooked on crud. The E-tank has worked wonders, but the inside corners just don't want to free up the gunk. Any suggestions? I really want to get this seasoned and use it. It is sooooo smooth.

For carbon that just doesn't want to come off, I have found that a thin, flexible putty knife works well. You have to be careful not to dig into the metal and inadvertently create 'utensil marks' of your own, but used carefully, it can be very effective at scraping out those stubborn bits of super baked on carbon that resist lye or e-tanking.
