Gave this Buttermilk Biscuit recipe a whirl last night and was thrilled with how they turned out! Followed it pretty much to a 'T' (found that 1 3/4 cup of buttermilk seemed to be the 'sweet spot' on the consistency needed), and was surprised that they tasted almost exactly like Cracker Barrel's...
2 cups Bisquick. 1/2 cup sour cream (not fat free). 1/2 cup 7 up (not diet). Knead until dough forms. Add enough flour by hand to be able to pat out and cut. Melt enough butter in a # 10 skillet or griddle to coat bottom. Have oven preheated to 425. Bake until done. Makes about 8 or 10 biscuits.
