I found this cauldron at an estate sale - it was being used as a planter for artificial flowers, although it was filled with dirt. As can be seen in the pics, it is quite rusty - I knocked off most of the large pieces with a wire brush, still trying figure out how to get the heavy stuff off. (Any advice greatly appreciated).
I'm hoping someone can give me an idea as to how old it is, and whether or not it's desirable enough to restore or just keep using as a planter/decorative piece. The only mark is the number "15" on the bottom. It measures 15" Tall X 21" Diameter.
