Cauldron Info ?

Hey everyone!
I just recently acquired this cauldron and I can't find any info on when it was made. It says "Savery & Co Philadelphia" on one side (under the handle) and says "6G" under the other handle. It measures 14" across the opening. It appears as though there is a gate mark on the bottom as well as the side (I'm new at this so not real sure)
Can anyone give me any info?

Does it hold 6 gallons of liquid? I'm terrible about estimating the size of something from a photo.

Nope, it holds 5 1/2 gallons when filled right to the very top.

"6G" is probably a casting designation or model # since the example above uses the letter "H". In addition, this foundry was established well after the US formalized US customary units in 1832 so "6G" does not correlate with gallons given that it holds less than 6 US gallons.
