Griswold skillets, same markings, different weights

Hello again!
We just bought 3 #8 GRISWOLD skillets circa 1935 and 1917 and upon comparing them to ours that we’ve had for years, see that ours is thicker walled and much heavier. The markings seem to be the same though. Block letter GRISWOLD on the back. Does this mean ours that we thought was vintage this whole time is really less vintage than we think? We also have an unbranded “Made in the USA “ #10 that is even more thick walled and heavy than the GRISWOLD!

I would expect pans of the same size and type from the same maker to be thinner and lighter in their earliest iterations, but with a degree of inconsistency. Not all Griswold slant Erie #8 skillets are going to weigh exactly the same.
