I recently purchased a Griswold large block logo tite top dutch oven and the C in dutch appears to accidently have an O. Does this make the piece worth more, less or no difference whatso ever?
Since the error was in the pattern which was made to cast probably thousands of pieces, it means it is not unique. A curiosity at most, it doesn't really impact value one way or the other.
Thanks Doug. There is the exact picture of the Dutoh oven mistake on the website. Would be interesting to know how long before they realized the mistake, and how many pieces they printed like that. You would also think that a mistake like that would be more helpful in narrowing down the years produced instead of 1920-1950. Anyhow thanks for the reply.
