I've looked around but can't seem to identify this pan. Looks like it might be an old lodge judging by the handle, but I haven't found any reference to a Lodge with no-notch heat ring and the # only on the handle ( and not raised). Pretty poorly cast so maybe a knock-off? Appreciate any insight
First glance, I would agree old Lodge. And even though old Lodge do have their share of casting flaws, I'd assume this is someone's copy from a Lodge pan. At least they had the skills to do side gating.
Thanks for the quick reply Doug! I'm new to all this but having fun trying my hand at restorations...SOO gratifying. Quick question... how can you tell they did side gating from looking at the pan? Also.... any guess to How old? Thanks
