Just a tiny Diamond

after cleaning up a very rusted and neglected Dutch oven, the only mark on the bottom was a small diamond. NOTHING else.
Any ideas what this old granny might be?

Please post a picture that shown both ends of the bail and good views of the ears the bail attaches to. It would really help with identification.

You are pretty limited as to how many pictures you can post to this forum. You may want to learn how to use another site (such as Flickr or Photobucket) and just link to it. I use Google + but do not recommend it as it is not very user friendly

Never seen the "assist tab" with finger impressions on the underside. The newer stuff only has flat surface.
Also notice the little diamond. Absolutely no other marks
