Lodge?? 8 k Bean Pot

I have what I think is a Lodge #8 bean pot or kettle. Am I right? And about how old do you think it is? Does the k just designate kettle or ?? We mainly use it for popcorn, but occasionally do beans or chili with it.

Yes, Lodge. A letter in that position would normally just be an identifier of the pattern used to make the mold the pot was cast from. Unusual for Lodge, though.
