Newbie - Need help with ID

I was given a large Dutch oven with No markings on it at all. None inside or outside. It is thought to be from around 1900. It came from a neighbor in his 70's and it belonged to his grandmother. Any info would be appreciated.

I'd say it's a good bit earlier than 1900. More like mid-1800s.

Wow, Thank you. My neighbor said it may be from Canada originally?

With no names inscribed on them, these really old pieces defy ID as to maker or origin. The best that can usually be done is to place within a time frame based on handle, leg, or bail attachment style.

Thank you Doug! Good info. I figured it may be beyond recognition. It cooks well and will be part of my camping kit.
