Patty Bowl

I bought this today at an Estate Sale. It shows up in the BB, page 269, as a Patty Bowl. It came with a matching lid with "HOT POT" inscribed in the lid. It's too big for either of the Hot Pots on page 268.

So, other than a small pot, what is either a Hot Pot or a Patty Bowl?

Halfway down, under "Bowls". The hot pot lid goes with a similar piece that has no notch in its bail, sold as a toy.

I didn't see (or recognize) any Patty Moulds. The use might also explain the slightly sticky feel, like a bad seasoning job.
