Round Bottom Camp DO or Kettle?

OK, need some help, I have a round bottom camp dutch oven or kettle that is unmarked. Based on the lid which fits nicely, it would appear to be a vintage unmarked Lodge product. Can anyone confirm the maker of this item? The proper name for this type of DO/kettle? and, also, dates manufactured? Its a number 8 (10-1/4" Lid) on only marked R 8 on bottom

The markings are consistent with Lodge. They made these "straight kettles" in both round and flat bottom, and catalogs noted that their dutch oven covers would fit them.

Thanks again Doug! So it is a straight kettle (not DO) not a cauldron? Can you provide a date range?
