Soft water in an e-tank?

We have VERY hard water, so we have a water softener for the house and a line outside for non-softened water. Is soft water OK to use in an electrolysis tank or would it be better to use non-softened water? We just got the tank set up and I don't want to mess up my CI. Thanks in advance.

Use the untreated from the outside line. Hard water here, too; not a problem.

Mine's roughly 30 grains and my outside lines bypass the softener. I've done both (hard in summer, soft in winter) and I've never noticed a difference.
