Wagner Logos

I have a 10-1/4" Wagner Round Griddle with straight "WAGNER" logo, centered on the bottom. I see that the straight and arced WAGNER logo were used for the first 30 years of production (1891 - 1911). Does anyone know the exact timeline of when the arced logo was used during this period? Thanks,

There was probably no concerted effort on Wagner's part before about the 1920s to make their markings consistently uniform, nor to update all patterns simultaneously. Resources available tend to indicate the straight block lettering preceded the arced, but there wouldn't be both straight Wagner with Sidney under it and arced Wagner with Sidney under it if they were purposely replacing one style with another across all patterns.

The date ranges here are approximated and gathered from a variety of sources.

Doug, here are some pics of the straight logo WAGNER round griddle in my collection. Appears to have quotation mark before WAGNER ( " WAGNER ), but not after. No Sidney O, and the number 9 at 6 o'clock is scrolled, not block font

You are very correct. I looked at my Erie #9, and its a dead ringer as far as the 9 goes. Useful information for the future!
