picked this up from a local online auction. it was wrapped in cardboard and plastic and all taped up... and the auction company didn't unwrap it... they just took pics of it all wrapped up for the auction. the oven compartment had three little lodge mini hammered skillets... size: 1, 0 and 00.

yeah... it could be a fully functional stove... just smaller... even has features that the original Mascot stove patented.

it's about 35-40 lbs. it's all cast except for some thin sheet enclosing the oven compartment. and it's approximately the same size as the dolly's favorite. I have a collector book for toy stoves and it mentions that this design was shared by stoves marked Hanks Junior, Wetter and U.S. in the 1920's and 30's... by U.S. Stove Corp of South Pittsburg Tenn, formerly H. Wetter Mfg Co / Blue City Stove works Memphis, Tenn and then the mascot stove co of chatanooga Tenn... so a trio of Tennessee foundries. The name I find associated with Mascot stove company is James Franklin James who graduated school in 1899 and and he then went to the home of his maternal uncle, Robert A. Hudson, who was superintendent of a foundry at South Pittsburg, Tennessee, when he got a job first as a shipping clerk and then as a molder. (because molders made more money)
