Wagner Yankee Bowl

I picked up a number 3 (6 quart) "WAGNER" Sidney O, Yankee Bowl. I see limited references to the Yankee Bowl on page 274 of the Book of Griswold & Wagner, 5th Edition. Does anyone know how rare these are?

Not necessarily rare, just a shape that became obsolete. Possibly because what they were used for fell out of popularity, and making them in newer, "more modern" forms of cookware was impractical. Pg. 274 is the Wagner catalog number listing; I'm not sure what about that would imply rarity.

Like Scotch bowls, the rounded walls and bottom were for things that required frequent or constant stirring, like porridge. Also used for deep frying.
