#11 GRISWOLD'S ERIE ghost

Just took this Griswold Slant #11 skillet out of the etank and was pleasantly surprised to find a GRISWOLD"S ERIE ghost mark. I have other sizes with the same ghost mark, including a really nice #9. I've restored over a thousand pieces, but this has to rank up there as one of my favorites.

Double ghost. It was also a slant Erie before being modified into a slant EPU.

Looks to be in great shape. I guess Wapak isnt the only ones to reuse molds, lol..

Different scenarios, though. Here we see Griswold wringing the last bit of utility out of what was a very expensive pattern to create initially (technically, avoiding the expense of a new master pattern). Wapak, on the other hand, avoided that expense by using other makers' pans to create their patterns.

Thanks for the information. Now that I think about it, I have never seen a Wapak ghost on anything, not even the Onetas.....I think I spelled that wrong.
