A nice survivor. Wife found it in the lamp section at GoodWill....then, a couple of months later found a reasonable fit lid at a yard sale. It is our favorite piece and is prominently displayed in the family room ! . :grin: Based on what I have observed on this site , I suspect late 1800's.

I forgot to ask.... any "tells" on the foundry responsible for this little gem ?

None. On old bottom-gated items with no maker markings, there's rarely if ever a chance of making an ID.

Looks like the pattern had a broken leg repaired. The covers are from Asian imports.
