I bought a Slant Logo #8 griddle, with the support ribs on the bottom. Was wondering what timeframe this particular design was from, and what the approx. value would be. I have only seen unribbed or newer version on ebay, and they have been selling for more than I paid, so I am happy with my purchase. It has a little bit of light sulfur dioxide pitting on the bottom from being used over a coal stove at some point, but it is a fairly even pitting like it was used with both eyes and the center divider removed. The top is very clean. Flat with no wobble or rocking, no chips or cracks.

I don't have a pic available to upload yet.

I cleaned it in the oven self clean cycle for a hour last night, I have found there is no need to run it through the whole cycle, just till the smoke stops. That's when all the crud has been burnt off. I then put on the first layer of seasoning. Will continue to layer on more over the next few days.

I believe that this will be my new go to bacon pan. My #10 skillet barely holds enough to cook two servings.
