#8 Tite Top Dutch Oven (1295 Without Bail).

Just in case you don't have a BB (I thought one of our other members had one when they did not), it shows/says it came with a glass lid.

Does anyone know what kind of lid came on these originally? Was it a normal tite-top dutch oven lid or did these 'bail-less' versions have something different (like a glass lid)?

Pyrex makes a replacement Lids that will fit it. actual Griswold glass lids have a octagon type knob kind of like the old Crystal door knobs. the wagner ones are easier to find they work to.

I had looked through the blue book last night.. but that particular page is laid out poorly... the picture of the bail-less dutch oven has wording underneath it that talks about the aluminum one to the left of it... and the bit about the 1295 is underneath the other picture... and then it says something about how it came with a glass lid but the lid pictured is not the right one... I was confused.

I have a square glass lid with the cross on the knob for the square 768 pan so I know what to look for... although I also have an iron mountain #8 lid that I picked up a while ago by itself... I'm thinking that might be a nice combination for now.

Thanks for the info!
