I'm still new to identifying iron, and I've found I learn best by taking pictures in flea markets to identify when I get home. I am able to learn by actually seeing things and add new things as I notice them.
Recently, I saw a Wapak Indian head skillet. I always thought they looked cool but had never seen one before. It was a #4 and priced at $35, which is more than I'll usually pay. I noticed that it had what looked like channels in the cooking surface and the detail on the bottom wasn't very clear. I just got some pictures and decided to wait.
In looking at the Reproduction and Counterfeit page, I'm glad I held off! It looks exactly like the reproduction on that page.
