Abelskiver Pan

Found this Abelskiver pan at the flea market with my son for $25 the ceramic has spider cracks, would it be alright to soak this in a lye tank? and also who made this as it seems very old thanks in advance ..Tom and Scott

Lye and enamel can be an iffy proposition, as it may dull the shine. I'd opt instead to find something shallow enough to set it in with the lye solution just up to the rim. Or HD oven cleaner only on the bottom.

I suppose, as long as you feel there's nothing nasty hiding in them.
