Aluminum and Cast Iron Grill

Last week, a guy I have bought from before, picked up a load of stuff from a friend’s estate in Vermont. He called me, knowing I would like it. He was right.

The main body of the grill appears to be aluminum (not sure how i’m Going to clean it), but the grate and other parts seem to be cast iron. (Or maybe steel?)

The first few pictures are of the grill (in various stages of assembly) when I picked it up. The last few are of the griddle (fresh from the e-tank) and of the heat diffuser (?) (fresh from the lye bucket).

It’s a really cool little grill!

Well, I found out the round piece with the ribs on the bottom, that I thought was a drip plate or something, does not go with the grill. It is a stove attachment used to heat sad irons, etc.
