The other thing I collect is vintage stereo equipment, primarily speakers. I was going to the bank today and on my way is a St. Vincent de Paul thrift. I stopped and see this huge pair of speakers from the 1960's that actually had been there about 3-4 weeks ago when I last stopped but they had a sold sticker on them. Same sold sticker so I asked if they were available and don't people have to pick up in a certain amount of time. The lady at the counter said her manager wasn't in so I left my #. Anyway I get a call about an hour before they closed saying if you want the speakers come and get them.
I make it with about 5 minutes to spare. I needed to go to the restroom and as I was heading back spied this on the floor. Just huge, what looks to be a BSR Red Mountain. It barely fits in the lye vat it's so wide
a double score today
