Another Electrolysis Question ?

So, I got another question concerning electrolysis ? What happens when the sacrificial plate gets really gunked-up ? Does this hinder the electrolysis process ?

Also is it okay, to turn the gunked-up sacrificial plate around, so that the cleaner side is facing the skillet (i.e. use the other side) ? Anyproblems doing this?

yes it will get gunked up and slow the process. you can find graphite sheets on ebay. I usually buy them from "creeklady83" on ebay. you can get (4) 1/4x4x12" Graphite plates for 20.00. they have other sizes as well. some people use stainless and there is a whole debate about using it.

Thanks guys, and I did read about graphite. Not planning on much more, but if I do, graphite it will be! Thanks......:tasty:

I bought mine from these guys... link to one of their current auctions.

The lot that I bought had about 8 sheets of 6 inch by 8 inch sheets, a couple of 1/2 thick sections about 12-14 inches long by 2 inches wide and one nice big sheet about 8 inches wide and 14 inches long (that's the only piece I've used so far)...
