Found at GW... a round cast iron 8" trivet. Most likely Asian origin (unmarked).
The visual "geometrics" appealed to me. I believe I have learned that 8" is about
the perfect size for common use skillets... good stability. The perimeter cut-outs
on the underside make for easy pick up and moving. I like to look at brooms-
cherubs-and fleur-d-lis as much as the next guy, but, these seem to be more
practical for daily use.
These go for around $20.00 retail... I gave $1.99 at GW.
