Yeah, that's pretty bizarre. Numbers are usually on the tops of handles, when they are on handles. Thinness of walls and size of pour lips put it pre-automation, plus smooth bottom probably places it ca. late 1930s or after. Nothing to do with them, but Griswold made what they called Quaker Ware which was bare iron with just the inside enameled (which would make more sense, actually).
Re: photos. Raw images from smartphones are typically far larger than usable for forum attachment unless resized to something more suitable first.
