attaching photos

Doug, I just attempted to send a photo with questions about it, using mycipics**. I don't know where it will show up, so I don't know where to look for your reply.

Also, when I looked at a sticky on another thread, there were completely different instructions re posting photos.

Is one preferred over the other? Is the one I used OK, and if so, where will I find your reply?

That method was intended to assist members who did not have or had difficulty linking to images on a photo hosting account. Images those members emailed to the special address were uploaded by me to albums created for each on the website's image hosting account, so they could then link to them in a post. It was not intended as a mechanism to send me photos with questions, since that would be of no benefit to the rest of the membership. Unfortunately, changes to the way Picasa works have made this a less than elegant solution today. The simplest method I can recommend currently is to upload an image at imgur.com (whether you create an account there or not) and use the bbcode link it supplies for the image to link to it in a post.
