Aunt Jean's Passing

On Jan. 7th my Aunt Jean (81yrs.) passed leaving behind her cast iron pieces to my cousin of 71 yrs. I just wanted to share some of those pieces with our collectors in hopes we all keep the cast iron our families have used thru the years. They are precious and everlasting. I have included two pictures and will list what the pieces are since the pictures were not all that good.
First Pic. Top Row- from left to right.
Cast Alum. Lid- No name, may be Lodge (not sure) Has small oblong basting rings. One inner and one outer. Has button type lid lifter.
WAPAK #10 "Early Logo" w/ Heat Ring.
Wagner 14 in. Made in USA . I think it is post 1960 according to our forum.
Griswold #12 SBL, Erie Pa. 719B W/ heat ring.
Bottom Row- from left to right.
Wagner- Cast Alum. #8 Drip Drop Skillet Cover.
Mystery Skillet, #12 (raised) gate mark and fancy tear-drop type handle.
Griswold #14 LBL, EPU, #718 w/ heat ring.

The second pic is just a closer view of the cast alum. lid that I have no idea of its maker.

I hope one day I will be able to add these to my collection.

Your Aunt sure had good taste in cookware. I wonder if the older skillets weren't passed down to her from her mother. Sorry for your loss.

I know for a fact that the WAPAK and the "NO NAME" skillet belonged to my grandmother. Having 11 children to cook for took bigger skillets for sure. I think the two Griswold's belonged to another of my Aunt's. I can remember as a kid going to the fish camp on weekends and there were always a lot of friends and family and plenty of fish to fry. I worked for 20+ years overseas and missed out on family re-unions which there again took big pots and pans for cooking.
Thanks Bonnie....

Sorry for your loss MD, I lost my Aunt last year too. Very nice collection and I'm sure you and your family will be using these in the years to come.
