"Backwards" Electrolysis on My New Teapot

I believe it was Doug, who mentioned this as a method to get the rust out of the inside of a teapot. It's been awhile, so I can't be sure who talked about it. Whoever it was, thanks. Looks like it's working!

The first picture is a few moments after setting it up. The second picture is after an hour. I'm going to leave it running until I get home this afternoon.

I was just about ready to ask for advise on how to do this.
When you get it all cleaned up, how will you season it if you are going to use it?

I'll probably season like I would a skillet. Don't reckon I would ever use it to make tea (or anything else consumable), but I might put some water and cinnamon sticks in it during the holidays to make the house smell festive. Ha!
