Baffled trying to ID this skillet. Erie?

Is this an early unmarked Erie #8?

It is very light weight like older pans, but the hole in the handle is rough.
The handle has a very distinctive connection to the pan with raised letters H and S (or is it S and H?).
The heat ring is on the far outside.
The finish inside the pan has a spiral grind.
The outer edge at the top has a distinct band even at the pour spout.

In the process of cleaning it now, but I don't see any other markings on the bottom currently visible.

Paid $3.98 at local thrift store

These pop up from time to time. I have one. Likely some small under-capitalized foundry using another maker's pan (possibly 2nd or 3rd series Erie) to create their working patterns. The 8 on the handle top would not be consistent with Griswold for a pan with that handle and lip reinforcement, so it was likely added by the copier. The letters a foundryman's initials for piecework pay rather than indicative of maker. The flashing in the handle hole just sloppy molding practice overlooked by QC (if there was any).
