Hello all. In the Cast Iron Collector foundry database, there is an entry for Baxter & Davis, and the attached note simply says "covers (very early)." Does anyone have any information about this foundry? Did they make anything other than lids? How early is very early? Any help you could provide would be appreciated.

From an 1898 newspaper article about a molder who worked for Baxter & Davis, it might be possible there was a connection to W.C.Davis, whose Cincinnati company ultimately became Favorite Piqua. https://www.castironcollector.com/favorite.php
