I got a bargain on this #7 waffle iron off ebay. The seller put Corroded in the item description so that was helpful. :chuckle:

I got a bargain on this #7 waffle iron off ebay. The seller put Corroded in the item description so that was helpful. :chuckle:
You have more patience than I Bonnie. Can't bear to clean one every few months, still have 3 in the lye bath for the last couple of months.

Fifteen years ago a #7 was too small for us so I got a few #8's, and one #7 with a button hinge. All Griswold of course.
Fast forward to now. Two #8 waffles are too much at our brunch but two #7's are perfect. I do wish that my #7 had a high base, but ...... Got enough, no room for more.
The ugly thing here turned out nice.

Lack of a high base for an 1880 solved. It just needed a hole!
