I picked a couple of Griswold #8 704T and 704C.

First question: What do the letters signify after the 704?

Second question: What do you think the value of these pans are?

Thanks!

Welcome Marty. The letters are mold identifiers, one was poured in mold T and one was poured in mold C. As to the value, your best bet is to go to eBay and search the SOLD section to average the cost of your style pan. Good Hunting.

More precisely, one's mold was created from pattern T, and the other's from pattern C. Value is also dependent, beyond condition, upon in what era of Griswold manufacture your pans were produced.

I hear lots on the 1960 "made in USA". Was that a rule or law or something?

Doesn't apply in Canada.

Somewhere on this site there is an explanation that I can't find at the moment.

I think it said that in the early 60's the US made a law that all imports had to be marked with the country of origin. At that time many US companies voluntarily got on board and started marking their goods "Made in the USA" for marketing purposes.

If I'm wrong, please correct me.
