Broken Descoware DO

I bought this Descoware DO online about 2 months ago. It arrived broken as you see in the pics. Its too bad that it happened and all, but the lady I bought it from did refund me half of the money out of kindness. It wasnt packed the best, but the box was also very beaten up too. Anyways, I tried to "redneck" fix it with JB Weld, evem tho its just more than broken off. Is there any other way to at least attach the handle? I still use it, I just pick it up with the " stump" on the right side. Steam comes out the hole like a vent, so I keep that in mind for cooking times. Any help would be great. I think Im out of luck though.....:icon_scratchchin:

No matter how good a bonding agent's manufacturer claims it's product to be, I'd never trust the handle to hold when the DO is full. It's not worth the risk of spilling a large quantity of something boiling hot, especially when a new enameled DO can be had for well under $100.

Sean,

That is disappointing... but, I agree with Ty. Avoid the trip
to the E.R. . I would either keep the lid or flip it (someone
needs it) .

Good reminder for me to pull out my Enameled cast iron
"tulips and windmills" and make something tasty. The Bride
found this pretty little thing at GW back before enameled
cast iron enjoys the popularity it now holds.
