Bronze Kettle, Ideas on cleaning?

I just picked this up. Looks like it is made of solid bronze. No marks or numbers.

I've never cleaned bronze, any recommendations on products and how to get rid of the water scale?

I had already tried the magnets to see if it was plated bronze but they don't stick at all. It's also not thin, the thing weighs 11 lbs.

So I'm guessing it's cast bronze.

I could easily leave the inside scaled, just want to clean the outside to have it look a little cleaner.

You might try Brasso on the outside. I would hesitate to use it on a food surface. It's evidently changed since I used it to polish brass fittings as a volunteer fireman in the 60s. Still works pretty good though.

Maybe try Bar Keepers Friend. Its for bronze as far as I can remember, and a lot of other metals Im sure. Good luck with the restoration!
