Since I have been collecting less than a year, I have become fond of BSR CI. The three that I have in my collection have heat rings and sizes. Is this a BSR and when was it made?
I've seen pictures of a #8 deep skillet/chicken fryer with no heat ring that was made by BSR, but have never seen a #7 with no heat ring. Handle on that sure looks BSR, but I can't say for certain that it is.
I have a 7 Red Mountain skillet and a 7 Century chicken fryer. The font is similar to the RM and the rim lip is like the chicken fryer. I remember something here that only the chicken fryers came without a smoke ring in the RM line.
The handle isn’t quite right. The ridge does not blend into the pan or hanging hole like others. If it was a chicken fryer I’d guess it was a transition piece between RM & Century. If it is a skillet I’d say somebody else made it to look like a BSR.
