BSR lid / skillet compatibility over generations

I understand the BSR No.10 was 12 5/8" from the Red Mountain through the Century Series, but in the 1970s changed to 12 7/16".

Does anyone know if the older No. 10 12 5/8" lid is compatible with a "newer" No.10 12 7/16" skillet?

Yes, I realize there's a 3/16" difference, but is it a meaningful one, enough so the lid wouldn't fit? Thanks!

No BSR catalog I'm aware of lists a #10 skillet at anything other than 12-7/16". A late 1980s a catalog lists it as 12-1/2", but that may just be rounding for convenience, as I doubt the patterns were actually changed for 1/16". There is a website with a chart stating differently, but it may be confusing DO diameters with skillets.

Thanks. I've been taking pics as I refurbish these and I'll posts them at some point in the show and tell forum, though I haven't gotten to this particular pan yet. But hopefully when I do I can get confirmation or correction on my identifications.
