BSR Lid

I assume this is a 'Red Mountain' BSR lid (which I suppose could be either skillet lid or dutch oven lid)... but does anyone know anything about the markings on the top? I get the '8' and I assume the 'C' is a mold/pattern identifier... but what's the little 'k' for?

Would tend to indicate they needed more than 27 working patterns for this lid.

D, it does look like a RM. I recently picked up a BSR/RM Dutch oven a little while back and Mine has 8 A with a line over the top of the A and bottom. It does fit both my number 8 skillet and the DO.
