BSR value

For 35 years have I enjoyed the really ugly (beautiful) carbon crusted no name #7 skillet with the glass like bottom that I inherited. Thanks to this site I now know it is a BSR, probably circa 1940 or before. Once upon a time a whole cut up chicken could be fried in it at once. Five lb. chickens don't work.

I’m tempted to engrave BSR under the handle for the sake of those down the road. Is this a sin? I heard there is a special place reserved in Hell for those that mistreat CI cookware.
