Camp Oven/Bean Pot

For several years I have mainly collected skillets, pots, waffle irons, and corn stick pans. Today I strayed from my norm and bought this old gate marked bailed camp oven/ bean pot knowing very well that I had no books to I.D. it with. I'm thinking it's one of those pieces that I might very well not I.D. but I'm attaching a few pic's of this thing in hopes that someone who may have some data to weigh in on. I know it's rusty but it is not pitted inside or out and the legs are "D" shaped and not worn very much. The bail is extra heavy duty and could probably tow a car with it.
Appreciate any help.

Thanks Bonnie....It will be a week or so. Leaving Monday for a family reunion. I will have time when I get back I hope....May pick up a few more goodies that will need cleaning.
I'm a little concerned about the lettering. The lid is block style lettering while the bottom is somewhat a script type "raised" lettering. Could be that the two don't go together but the lid fits perfect with no overlap or slop in it. Probably will give it as a gift but for $40 it sure looked good to me.

I know a Boy Scout Leader that would think that was a gift from above.

I didn't know you were a Boy Scout leader....ha ha...You're just trying to beg for my camp oven in a polite way...
It needs to go to someone that has a natural wood burning fireplace and will use it more than one time a year. I'll know when I find that person or I should say "if" I find that person. Would prefer it to be a nice lady that knows how to cook (and clean up her mess) and can give a woman's touch around the house.
God only knows I need both....
