Cannot pin this bowl down

This #3 slant Scotch bowl 781 has similarities with 780 on p. 76 of the BB. Would it be about the same vintage? (I'm not sure what the difference in these kinds of numbers means.)

Vintage would be the same...Go to p.317 of the BB and look at the pattern numbers and that will help you understand somewhat the number correlation to the piece you have; i.e. 781 is a #3, 782 is a #4, 783 is a #5.

Ah, so the pattern numbers are related to the size of the piece, not the manufacture date...thanks! :idea:
