Cast iron ladle with gate mark

Just wanted to show my piece of dug cast iron that is in my collection. It has an iron forged handle and a cast iron ladle with a gate mark. This was purchased from a well known relic hunter associated with Nautilus metal detectors. It was dug Averasboro battlefield back when laws would permit.

Looks like a bullet mold ladle, it wasn't uncommon to find on civil war battlefields, especially when units deployed there were still using mini or round balls for muzzle loading rifles. Sharp point to spout helps allow for little splashing when pouring into the top of bullet mold. Just my opinion as a flintlock hunter and history buff.
