Cast Iron Mortar and Pestle

My wife is out antiquing and sent me this pic of a cast iron mortar and pestle. It's a cool looking piece, but I don't know anything about it...I just thought it was unique enough to share.

I don't have anything else, other than the asking price, which was $125. At that price, I thought it was nice eye candy, but nothing more. I'll ask her if she's still at that store or not...we'll see.

That's a crazy price. I walked away from one downtown for 45$.

Granted, I don't anything about them, but that was my gut reaction too...way overpriced.

You're in luck, Bonnie...she went back and took a pic of the bottom. No markings, though, but here it is.
