For some reasons some foundries / companies never felt a need to put there name on there product, until such time that they realized that to set themselves apart from there competition something was needed. You Just might find some information on the underside if you are planning on a full restore.

Griswold made a one burner hot plate named Wizzard and put GRISWOLD ERIE PA on the underside of the grate. So now that you have more time on your hands, keep us informed on your progress.

Thanks guys. I was researching to see parts availability and about converting this to propane before I bought it.
I think I’ll stick with a well known name like Griswold or something.
Or can you just drill out the jets to get close? Anyone ever try?

Maybe this read will shed a little light on your plans.

Propane jets are smaller than natural gas jets, so it might be ready to use as is. It will need a regulator. You can buy a fish fryer from Bass Pro and rob all the parts (regulator, hose, tank connector etc) cheaper than buying each part from a propane distributor. I get emails from Bass Pro and they have a sale on the fish fryers. Another option is finding an old gas grill and rob the regulator, hose and tank connector off of it. But I prefer the adjustable feature.
