Casting flaw?

I pulled my BSR 5A red mountain(I think) out of the e-tank tonight and started cleaning it up and my heart sank thinking it was cracked. However after further investigation it's not cracked, no light shows through, it's not loose, the rim shows nothing across the top and there's no evidence on the inside of the pan. Then I thought maybe a chip from impact sometime in its life, but it seems way to smooth for that, so now I'm thinking it's been this way since it left BSR's mold. Is this a casting flaw?

Looks like a casting flaw to me. Gives it a little character in my book and nothing to worry about. Nice little skillet.

I totally agree. It's a beauty mark. Kinda like Cindy Crawford's mole.
