Casting Numbers

I have what appears to be a 20 gallon cauldron with the casting numbers 4 15on the bottom of the pot. Any idea what the numbers designate. The 4 is smaller than the 15. Thanks for any input.

Vern, need more info & pics would be great. A 20 gallon would be about 3 ft. x 3 ft. and weigh about 200+ lbs. The 4 could be the size number and the 15 the pattern number, but not for a 20 gallon cauldron.

Agreed that we would need more info and pics would be great, but what HD describes (3 ft X 3 ft) would hold close to 160 gallons. A standard 55 gallon drum is 22.5 inches by 33.5 inches. I'm not even going to get into the fact that cauldrons have a rounded bottom and how that affects the volume.

Total guess here, but the "15" may be the volume in gallons. We need pics or at least some dimensions.
