Chicken Fryer 2

Similar to Chicken Fryer 1. No claim by the vendor as to manufacturer but a bit pricey for a chicken fryer. I think it's BSR based on the handle of the pan and the dimpled spots on the inside of the lid. At least this one appears to me to be a matched pan and lid. The bottom of the pan has a faint 8 V mark. Looks like a good user but I don't know if it commands collector prices. This one needs some cleaning too but I think it would clean up nicely. Any help would be appreciated.

Both are BSR, but the lid could be a bit older than the pan, which appears early-1950s. Even the marked-down price is a bit steep for these.

It was still at the antique mall when I went back to negotiate a better (for me) price. A closer inspection revealed it to be a slight spinner, maybe 3/4 of a turn to a turn, so I passed on this one. It would probably be OK on a gas stove (which I have) but I didn't think the vendor would come down much from his marked down price of $85.
