Fortunately, my daughter and son-in-law are interested in cast iron. Last year, before I got interested in the "real" stuff, I gave them a #8 pre-seasoned Lodge for Christmas that they use regularly.

BTW, anyone know why the Lodge has those "ghost" marks at 6 o'clock? Looks like a 7, 8 and some letters overlapping each other in a pile.

Great way to continue finding/restoring and not have my wife asking where I am going to keep all this stuff.;)
 
That was very nice of you to gift those skillets for Christmas. I bet they just loved them. As for the markings on the Lodge, I'm not sure either.
 
And it is my first Smiley! However, he is a great son-in-law. Smileys are probably easier to find than good/great son-in-laws.:-)
