I hope I'm posting correctly! I know there were molds of this kind made by John Wright, but those have his name on the handles and the animals are slightly different. Here's what I have, which I think is a knock-off, but I'd love to know what the mark is and anything else about it.

I don't know if the mark, which I assume is a foundry mark?, is upside down or not. Thanks!

Thanks, that's what I'm assuming. I know there are zillions of foundries all over Asia, but I'm still curious about that mark. Sigh.

I'm with Hilditch....Asian and most likely Korean made. I say that because I worked in South Korea for about 5 years and the symbol resembles their alphabet characters. I did a quick google but didn't find the same symbol on the few pieces I viewed. I'm sure it's a good piece and if you have grandkids you can make some neat shapes for them to enjoy.

Out of curiosity I checked alphabet symbols from a bunch of other countries in the far East and middle East. Nothing else came close to South Korea. This shot was part of an award given to casting foundries in South Korea. I don’t have a clue what it says, but notice the similarities of the symbols to the one on the casting. There appears to be well over 100 foundries in SK. I think MD nailed this one.

Thanks, I'm familiar with the Korean alphabet, but it never occurred to me to match it with that. When I first looked at the mark I actually thought of the wings of a Dutch head cap (pointing up) haha. (Not knowing which way to view it). Appreciate the input.

That is what I thought also. It looked like the Flying Nun hat. :chuckle:
